SHIPLEY, KEVIN ALLEN
April 21, 1998 - Calgary, AB
October 18, 2017 - Cardston, AB
Kevin went to walk with his friend and Saviour on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the age of 19 years. Kevin left cherishing his memory; Brent & Rachelle Shipley, his sister Amanda and brothers Matthew, Jordan and Spencer, his grandparents Dwain an Jolane Shipley and Opal Greep. He was predeceased by his grandfather Robert Greep.
Kevin was blessed to be a missionary, to share his witness of the gospel, through precept and example, to teach those who were seeking comfort and love and the blessings of heaven.
It was important to him that others knew they have a Father in Heaven who loves and knows them by name, who cares for them and who waits for their call. He was an instrument in the hands of God to bless and strengthen others.
Kevin had a sweet and unclouded testimony and knew that life was not easy, but believed and proved that he could do hard things. Kevin touched many lives and influenced over 15,000 indexing names for family history.
He was so excited to serve as a full-time missionary, but people were more important to him than his own accomplishments. He loved without limits, devoid of hatred.
A Funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta Stake Center on Monday, October 23rd, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at the Cardston Cemetery.
Friends may meet the family on Sunday, October 22nd at Kevin’s Residence (252 - 8th Street West, Cardston from 7 to 8:00 p.m. or at the church on Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
