
In Loving Memory of Graham “Boyd” ShotBothSides

It is with great sadness that we announced the passing of our beloved Graham “Boyd” ShotBothSides, also known as White Horse Rider - Sikapiyohkitopi, who was born on May 20, 1987 and passed away on December 10, 2024 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 37. Boyd is survived by his spouse Kaissandra White Man Left; loving children Bryson and Leandra ShotBothSides; mother Wendy ShotBothSides; sister Natasha ShotBothSides (Muhamad Jama); and nephew Zire ShotBothSides; aunties Brenda EaglePlume, Ethel (Leonard Chief Moon); great auntie Clothilda First Charger; uncles Homer (Kelly ShotBothSides), Timothy ShotBothSides; Boyd also embraced his aunt Brenda’s children as his siblings Lydia, Nicole, Tabitha, Marcus and Myles.
Boyd was predeceased by his father Harvey “Blair” Chief Moon; grandparents Alfred & Dorothy ShotBothSides, Moyra Chief Moon, Rose Chief Moon (Fred Baker); great grandparents Victor & Mary Chief Moon, Dora & Phelix First Charger; auntie Valerie First Charger; uncles Kevin First Charger, Albert Grant First Charger; and niece Farrah ShotBothSides/Jama.
Boyd was born in the early morning hours at the Cardston Municipal Hospital. He grew up in Cardston and Lethbridge, where he attended school from ages 5 to 7 and then when they moved to Calgary in 1994, where he continued his schooling from age 7-15.
When Boyd was 16 he moved to the Blood Reserve to live with his late great grandmother Dora First Charger and attended St. Mary’s High School up to grade 11. He then move back to Calgary, where he got his first job at the age of 17, he held numerous jobs over the years, including working alongside with his late uncle Kevin First Charger at Aldo Construction Management.
Boyd had lmany passions, including boxing and working out, reading, cooking for his family and he especially enjoyed taking his kids for walks around the neighborhood.
Above all, Boyd was a kind-hearted and Humorous person who always wore a smile. He was known for his willingness to help others, no matter the situation. Boyd’s deep sense of care turned many of his friends into family, he regularly reached out to check in on those he loved,just to hear their voice and make sure they were doing well..
Boyd will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Wake service will be held at Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve, Alberta on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 7:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will also be held at Senator Gladstone Hall on Monday, December 23 at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in the Pioneer Cemetery, Blood Reserve.
