Wilbert Larry Shouting, born and raised on the Blood Reserve. Passed away in Surrey British Columbia at the Golden age of 65. Larry was born to the late Phillip Shouting and Rhoda Bottle.
Larry will be sadly missed and remembered by his 3 daughters Lainey, Dovena, and Lancy. His grandchildren Malique, Brianna, Christopher, Atreyu, Edward, Peyton, Taleesha, Demarco, Andreah, Micah and Amaya. One and only God Child Tyrad Bottle. Larry is predeceased by his daughter Lesley-Ann and grandparents Minnie and Joe Shouting Sr.
Larry spent his younger years living with his grandma Minnie in head quarters where he attended School in the area. Larry later moved in with his auntie Mildred Shouting and uncle Leonard Chief Calf in Cardston, AB.
Larry enjoyed his years of education with numerous friends and relatives, too many to be named. Larry had many endeavors in the work field which brought forth great strength and power. Showcasing his hard work which he was very proud of and lead to his position with the Blood Band and many tribal entities. Larry enjoyed spending time with friends and close pals such as the late Theodore “Ted” Singer, John Whiteman, Kenneth Whiteman, and Van Singer.
Larry later attended Lethbridge Community College, where he graduated the heavy equipment mechanics program in Lethbridge, AB. Larry was a family man and enjoyed living life with his wife the late Andrea Morning Bird and their children and her two children from a previous marriage.
Larry than moved on to pursue a change in life and career goals in British Columbia, where he found himself sailing the West Coast as a fisherman. Larry became a noble member of the community and was very passionate and caring to his fellow Niitsitapis of the lower Eastside.
Larry was a very active and outgoing man, who took pride in his appearance and carried himself well. Those who knew him, are left with great stories and wonderful memories.
A Wake Service will be held at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston, Alberta on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Legacy Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in the Blood Band Cemetery.
