BRANDON LEE TAI SMALL EYES was called home on Saturday February 27, 2016 at the age of 16 years old. Tai is survived by his parents Patricia Healy and Jordan Small Eyes; His sisters Amanda, Karalee (Nathan), Shelayne (Les), Alexandra (John), Tracy (Sonnie), Star (Brendan), Ariel (Kash) Small Eyes; His brothers Luke, Joel (Sheree), Charlie & Kodith Small Eyes; Uncles Oliver (Frankie) S. & Tyrone G.R; Great uncles Leonard Y.P, John H & Stan H; Aunties Donna (John) B.H, Tina (Kim) G.R, Ernestine H, Colleen (Chris) S.W, Rebecca (Darrell) H, Dawna H, Nicole H & Ashley (Billy) H; Great aunties Evelyn (David) S.W, Bernadette Y.P, Odile D.C & Annie Teresa Y.P.
Tai was predeceased by his grandparents Irene Young Pine and Luke Small Eyes. Ernest Healy and Theresa Good Rider; uncles Curtis Healy, Robert Small Eyes, Eric Small Eyes and Roland Scout; Auntie Nora Scout; Cousin Brett Gros Ventre Boy.
Tai was born at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on August 7, 1999 to Jordan Small Eyes and Patricia Healy. Tai attended Saipoyi Elementary, Tatsikiisapo’p Middle School, Kainai High School and the Kainai Alternate School. Tai completed the Youth Intervention Program in 2012 and the Manitapi Summer Youth Initative program in 2014. He enjoyed playing basketball with his teams the Saipoyi Braves and the TMS Eagles. He enjoyed driving around listening to music with his brother Joel and various cousins. You could find him playing games with his friends or hanging out with his special buddy man’s best friend Jeffery. Tai’s favorite food was his sister Star’s spaghetti and his mother’s lasagna. Those who knew him would describe him as a funny outgoing boy who loved to wear his special brand of Jordan runners and numerous hats and was very charismatic. He was a protector to his sisters, and enjoyed play fighting with his siblings. He loved the outdoors, art and swimming and overall was a man of many skills and talents. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will cherish his memories and he will be deeply missed.
A Wake Service will be at the Old Saipoyi Gym, Stand Off on Thursday, March 3rd from 7:00 pm continuing all night. The Funeral Service will be at the Old Saipoyi Gym, Stand Off on Friday, March 4th at 11:00 am. Interment in the Family Cemetery, Blood Reserve.
