Norma Jean Small Face, 57, of Lethbridge and the Blood reserve, passed away suddenly on December 13, 2020.
Norma was born on August 1, 1963, to Laverne Strangling Wolf-Smallface and Charles Smallface, in the Moses Lake area of the Blood reserve. After attending Cardston High School, she went on to study at Red Crow Community College. After college, Norma worked primarily in the food service industry, namely the Cardston Dairy Queen.
In 1979 Norma had her first child, Ricky Standing Alone. She went on to have 3 more children, Brian Corsey, Tyler Smallface and Charnelle Many Fingers.
Norma was an outgoing, funny and loving girl. People gravitated to her, she always had visitors at her home. Norma was an amazing cook, and her home was always spotless. When she was younger she enjoyed playing basketball and ice-skating.
Norma was predeceased by mother Laverne, brother Curtis Smallface and her two sons, Ricky and Brian. Norma is survived by her father Charles Smallface; brothers Kim Smallface and Joe Panther Bone; sister Nikki White Quills; children Tyler and Charnelle; her grandchildren, Jaden Standing Alone, Kylar Smallface, Alexander Smallface Tyeela Smallface and Giana (Gigi) Many Fingers; and her great-grandchild Ricky Standing Alone; nieces Loni White, Raven Smallface, Kristen Smallface, Shania Smallface, Brittany White Quills, Sasha White Quills and Shereese White Quills; nephews Curtis Jr. Smallface, Dillon Heavy Runner and Jared JBD Panther Bone.
Viewing will be held at Legacy Funeral Home from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Friday, December 18, 2020, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm. Cremation to follow. (Due to to COVID-19 - Limited people will be allowed in the building at a time.)
