EUDEANNE MERLE JUDD STILL, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother passed away on April 2, 2025 at the age of 91.
Merle was born May 4, 1933 in Edmonton, AB. She was the eldest child of Charles and Grace Judd. She simply loved space: space travel, space TV shows, even watching airplanes take off and land at the Calgary Airport. So she was pretty proud when they named May 4th Star Wars Day.
She is survived by her children Ray (Georgia) Still, Brenda (Rick) Benson, Darrel (Leila) Still, Deena (Larry) Bronemann, Roger (Kathy) Still, Vivian Richards, Daniel (Charla) Still, Sharon Kruchkywich, 45 grandchildren, 112 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Elaine (Bob) Maslen.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Anthon LaVern Still, her daughter Karen (Dan) Koller, granddaughter Valerie Still, grandson Dustin Richards and, although there really are no in-laws in our family, daughter-in-law Charmaine Still and son-in-law Bob Richards.
During her life she worked babysitting, as a janitor, waitress, bookkeeper, and as a teacher’s aide, but most of all she was a MOM.
Merle was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings including a primary teacher, chorister, in-service teacher, ward missionary, Mutual (now called YW) president, Relief Society President, Compassionate Service leader and a temple ordinance worker, which she said was her favorite of all.
She was very shy at school but loved it. She didn’t finish high school – but at age 79 she graduated – so she would set an example for her posterity.
Some of her favorite things were acting, singing, drawing and reading. One of her happiest opportunities was going to Salt Lake City in 1967 with the Singing Mothers where they were able to sing in a session at General Conference.
She was well-loved by so very many, but the love of her children meant everything to her. There are no words to express the joy felt for her to be together with the love of her life, our dad, nor what the absence of having her here with us brings.
The Funeral Service will be held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Raymond Stake Center, 2 N 200 W Raymond, AB at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Viewing 10:00 a.m.
