It is great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin John (JJ) Anthony Tallow on August 15, 2022 in Cochrane AB, at the age of 34 years.
JJ was born on April 2, 1988, at the Cardston Municipal Hospital to his loving parents Jacqueline Plume and John Tallow. JJ is survived by his parents Jacqueline and John, brothers Brad (Ingrid) Plume, Logan Tallow, and Joseph Tallow, sisters Shaylene Tallow and Shayna Saddleback. His cherished nephews and nieces Makoi, Buffy, Zayden,Leezane and Darian. Material uncles Rex Plume, Floyd (Ethel) Plume, Jim (Darlene) Plume, and Clifford Twigg. Material aunties Deana Plume, and Charlene (Roger) Prairie Chicken. Paternal uncles Marvin Many Chief and Cameron Tallow. Paternal aunties Tina Tallow and Debbie (Warner) Many Bears. JJ was a brother to all his cousins and close friends.
JJ was born in Cardston and raised in Standoff AB, Browning MT, and Lethbridge AB. He spent his adult years in Calgary AB. He worked in the construction field and loved working in demo. He was worked at Versa Cold and Forage Plant. He did casual jobs for Bully’s Rocky Mountain Turf Club. He also worked at the Friendship Center as the equipment supervisor. JJ was in the Just Say Yes Program. In Calgary JJ was employed at TLC and Diversify. He was the type of person that didn’t have everything handed to him; he was the type that went out and worked for what he wanted.
JJ had a profound love for music and art. In his downtime he would be found listening to music, playing his guitar, or drawing in his sketchbook. He was a very talented artist, and it was shown in his sketches.
He loved all his nephews and nieces dearly, and they were the most important thing in his life. To them he was their favorite uncle. JJ was also the uncle to many of his extended family members and would dote on them.
JJ was known to be the jokester in the family. He would often tease his mom and others. His laugh was contagious and he a mischievous smile. When he had that “look” you would know he did something or was going to do something he shouldn’t be doing. He was the type of person that didn’t let things get to him.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Dean and Theresa Plume, paternal grandparents Cecil and Mae Tallow. Paternal Uncles Ivan and Merlin Tallow.
JJ’s memory will always be remembered and cherished by all that knew him. He will be mourned greatly by his family, especially his brothers in which he would do anything for them.
The family would like to apologize for any names that they have missed.
A Wake Service will be held at White Calf Hall, Blood Reserve, AB on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 6:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve,AB on Tuesday, August 23 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Blood Reserve, AB.
