Rustin Tallow/Raw Eater of the Blood Tribe passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the age of 31 years. Rustin was born in Cardston, Alberta and raised on the Blood Reserve. He moved to Lethbridge in 2000 continuing his schooling, He graduated from Allen Watson School.
He had different jobs but mainly as a chef in Lethbridge until his passing. He was outgoing and friendly, he had a smile on his face that would brighten up a room. He liked playing video games and watching movies. He would also pull pranks on who ever was present and would walk away smiling and laughing.
He loved his brothers and sister and would always have a shoulder to cry on and listen to anybody's problems. He had a heart of gold and knowledge to share.
Rustin leaves to mourn: his Mom Verna Raw Eater and father Ronald Tallow; grandma Pauline Tallow; special friend Lucy Eagle Bear; two brothers Ray Lane and Ricky Joel Tallow; sister Zoe Rez Storm Tallow; uncles from the Blood Reserve Richard (Glenda) Red Crow, Roy (Mariam) Tallow and Rudy Tallow; uncles and aunts from Siksika Stanley Water Chief, Irwin (Brenda) Big Old Man, Dwayne Big Old Man, Yolanda Big Old Man and Laverna (Larry) Leather.
Rustin is predeceased by his grandparents Roy Tallow, Art and Violet Calling Last, Lorraine Water Chief and Vernon Sr. Raw Eater; uncles Randall Tallow and Vernon Raw Eater; aunt Natalie Big Old Man and cousin Lacey Heavy Runner.
Rustin had many family and friends, the family apologizes for any names missed.
A Wake Service will be held at the Moses Lake Community Hall, Blood Reserve on Sunday, November 12 from 6:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will also be held at the Moses Lake Community Hall on Monday, November 13 at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s cemetery.
