Frances Evelyn Tidmarsh, beloved wife of the late Duncan Guy Coldicutt Tidmarsh, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 24, 2024 at the age of 94. She was born January 6, 1930 in Vancouver, BC to Harold John & Frances Rose Astbury. She has one sister, Helen (Ted) Monk - both deceased. She married the love of her life, Duncan, on February 29, 1952. They have 4 children, Andrea (Brent) Burrows - both deceased, Lance (Beverley), Jan (Don) Olsen, and Scott (Carol). She will be greatly missed by her children, her 16 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren whom she absolutely adored. Also, many nieces and nephews.
Frances was the most loving, kind, generous person. She loved keeping in touch with all of her family and friends and was known for never missing a birthday.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served 3 full-time missions with Duncan in the South Africa Durban Mission, the London England Temple and the Vancouver Canada Mission. She loved telling stories of her missions, especially South Africa and always had a book of pictures and remembrances at hand to share with her grandchildren.
Frances was well known for her mottos of “BEE Kind” and "BEE Happy" and lived them completely. She always had Werthers candies with her and handed them out to anyone she saw.
A special thank you to all the staff and residents of the Diamond Willow Lodge for their loving care of mom over the past 12 years.
A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 11:00 am at the Cardston Cemetery, Cardston, AB.
