KANDICE TOLLEY won her fight against 5 different types of Cancer on April 29, 2021. She slipped through the veil with loved ones by her side in Cardston, Alberta. Kandice was born in Rexburg, Idaho on May 12, 1973 and enjoyed life. She grew up in St. Anthony, Idaho about 15 minutes north from Rexburg. She pursued her dream of teaching through different positions as EA’s, to teaching at Hutterite Colony’s. She was working toward her Alberta certification to become a permanent teacher. Kandice never spoke ill about anyone, but if you crossed her or did harm to her boys there would be a side no one wanted to see; luckily that side rarely came out. Kandice’s favourite pastime was to spend time with Zeke and Zander and see them grow up to be the men they are today. When Zeke and Zander were at school, she would love her daily video calls from Zeke and phone calls from Zander to keep her updated with cool and exciting things. Her favourite hymn states, “Fear not! I am with thee, oh be not dismayed. For I am thy God and will still give thee aid. I’ll Strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand! Upheld by my righteous omnipotent hand.” (Hymn 85). Kandice said on numerous occasions that they should sing all 7 verses of “How Firm a Foundation,” and for her it is said and done.
“It is well with my soul.” It is well that she is no longer suffering and is free from her earthly pain and is with her dad, Ira (Ike) Tolley and her brother Shannon Tolley, who both preceded her in joining their Heavenly Father’s embrace. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Tolley of Cardston, Alberta, Canada; Zeke Tolley of Cardston, Alberta; Zander Tolley of Cardston, Alberta; her sister Cindy Smith (Steven) of Preston, Idaho; Michael Tolley (Trese) of Ogden, Utah; and Gene Tolley (Betty-Jean) of Kennewick, Washington.
The family would wish to thank the many nurses and doctors who took care of her throughout the rollercoaster of her Cancer journey. Along with the many friends and acquaintances who showed their kindness for her.
A Private Family Service will be held on Tuesday, May 4th, at 11:00 with Bishop Jeff Strang officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View, Alberta Cemetery.
