ANITA ROSE TWIGG ventured in to this world on May 20, 1972 and journeyed back to the spirit world where she was greeted with open arms by: her baby boy Ty Lane Robert Twigg, her father, siblings, and all her relations on August 14, 2016.
Anita was blessed to Mary Twigg and the late Chester Bruised Head. Anita is survived by her beautiful mother Mary Twigg, her siblings; Lenora (Scotty) Many Fingers, Lester (Beverley), Marcel, Lisa and Chester (Natasha) Twigg; Jordan (Susan), Mike (Barbara), Bill, Clark (Annette), Byron (Michelle), Dexter (Tricia) Bruised Head, Genevieve (Watson) Kaquitts and Benita (Andrew) Creighton & Cindy and Stephanie Provost. Extended siblings: Pat (Delia), Merlin, Sandra, Brian, Dennis, Robert (Angeline), and Clifford Twigg. Sally (Homer) English, Monica (Eric) Plaited Hair, Delores Calf Robe & Leslie (Delores), Collete, Lucille, Albert, Curtis (Lisa) Big Swallow. Uncles: Joe (Lorraine), Pete Bruised Head, Andrew (Joanne) Twigg and Donald Big Swallow & Aunties: Theresa Plume, Carolla Bruised Head, Vera Oka, Sadie Wadsworth. Monica and Courtney Bruised Head, Roy and Genevieve Fox and Family, Sandra Bruised Head and Family. Anita treasured each niece and nephew lovingly and had a special bond with each. Extended families include; Twigg, Plume, Young Pines, Hind Bulls, Weasel Moccasins, Big Swallow, Chief Calf, Eagle Bear, Bruised Head, Bottle, Cotton, Wings families.
Anita was an avid and skilled all around athlete. Anita was a “wicked pitcher” and enjoyed playing with male teams for school league as she found it more of a challenge and often would strike out her counterparts. She often won the MVP of the tournaments she participated in. Anita enjoyed her employment as security for Kainai Board of Education up until her diabetes no longer allowed her to work. During her employment she enjoyed the staff and students. Anita was a courageous warrior who fought diabetes. She would make it regularly to attend and support family functions, and her favorite times of BBQ’s or food in general. Anita will be fondly missed for her beautiful smile, strong willingness, and lasting friendships. The continuous support and companionship that Anita and her loving mother Mary had was unnoticeable, as they were often inseparable.

A Family Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Monday, August 22nd at 5:00 p.m. The Wake Service will be at the Old Agency Community Hall, Blood Reserve on Monday, August 22nd from 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s’ Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Tuesday, August 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the One Spot Cemetery.
