
Dustin Shane Vielle (Iinii’ sko ma’pii- Buffalo boy) born on: January 20, 1982 in Fort Macleod, Alberta and passed away suddenly with a long battle of diabetes and other health issues on December 25, 2020 at the age of 38 years old. Shane lived his whole life on the Blood Reserve.
Shane’s parents are: Leslie & Marsha Vielle. He has two brothers: Jason (Lorena) and younger brother Tyler and one sister: Tanya (Blake); he also has one son: Dominic Shane (Nick) Vielle, whom he enjoyed raising. He has one niece: Shyloe English and one nephew: Kaleb Vielle; whom he really adored, loved and cared a lot for. Shane also loved and spoiled his dog Dominique. She was his baby. Shane was a very kind, caring and thoughtful person. He had a very soft voice when he would be talking with you and a laughter that would brighten up a room. He fought hard throughout the years with his health issues so that he can see his son grow up and graduate.
Shane has numerous Aunties; Uncles, cousins and friends. Shane was predeceased by: his great- grandparents: George and Annie Vielle, Herbert and Annie White Owl. Grandparents Francis and Evelyn Vielle, Peter and Jane (Jim) Crow Eagle. Step grandfather Adrian Black Fore Head. Aunties: Verna Day Rider, Wilma Vielle, Diane Medicine Traveller, Carolla Calf Robe, Ralna, Judy, & Debbie Crow Eagle. Uncles Wayne Vielle, John, Brian& Stanley Crow Eagle and Waylon Crow Spreads His Wings.
Shane loved to read, play sports and he loved to travel; he made it to New York City; two months before the twin towers were destroyed and then to the other direction to Victoria, BC. From one Ocean to the other Ocean. Shane enjoyed working with his dad along with his brothers doing carpentry work from a young age till he started getting sick.
Shane met and lived in a common law relationship at a young age to Juanita Black Forehead and a year later they were blessed with their only son Nick as his graduation gift. From then on, he gave all his time to raising his son. In the end, he lived independently alone with his son and dog and made sure his son kept up with his schooling.
Shane was tired of all his complications throughout his life, in the end, he said he was tired of all the pain he had endured every day and night. Now Shane can finally be pain free and Rest In Peace. We Love You Son.

A viewing will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 am. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment in the St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
