
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jonathon Alexander Edward Weasel Bear (Matsiwo’tapatssikaan) at the age of 43 years.
Jonathon started school at the age of 4. He attended Headstart and Kindergarten at the Cardston Elementary School. He attended Eastridge Elementary school from grade 1 through 6. He later attended Cardston Junior High for his Junior High years. As a young boy he was involved in hockey and Native dancing. One of his favorite subjects in school was Computers, he excelled in it and was very knowledgeable and proficient with its programs. Jonathon was very friendly, and he made friends easily. He gained a lot of friends from the time he was a little boy, and he befriended both the young and old.
Jonathon was predeceased by his biological father Jeffery Calling Last, his paternal Grandparents George and Maude Calling Last and his maternal great grandparents Edward and Mary Eva Spotted Bull, great grandparents Alex and mary Weasel Bear, his grandfather John Weasel Bear, his half sisters Shauna and Alison Crazy Bull, and his younger brother Dustin Weasel Bear and his aunt Brenda Weasel Bear. Johnathon is also survived by his Grandmother Margaret Weasel Bear and Biological mother Emily Weasel Bear.

From the Blood Reserve: Spotted Bulls, Healys, Panther Bones, Medicine Cranes, Blackwaters, Davis, Foxes, Big Throat, Hind Bulls, Gladstones, Eagle Plumes, Calling Lasts, Bloods, Take The Gun Strong, Wolf Plume, White Quills and Hunts.

A Wake Service will be held at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Friends may meet the family 1 hour prior to the service. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, South Hill Chapel, Cardston on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s cemetery.
