Kathryn “Kathy” Doreen (Roe) Wegwitz, age 77, passed away June 3, 2026 in Lethbridge, AB, one day before her 78th birthday.
Born on June 4, 1948, Kathy was the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Mona Roe. She was cherished by her younger siblings: Donna Rasmussen (David), Robert Roe (Deborah), Randall Roe (Ivana), and Cari Bevans (Cory).
Kathy shared nearly 59 years of marriage with her husband, Leonard “Len” Wegwitz. Together they built a life centered on faith, their family of 10 children, and service to others. Her life and legacy remain an inspiration to her family and by many who knew her.
Her greatest priority and joy was her family. She is survived by Len; their children Marsha Johnson (Byron), Karla Colenutt (Stanley), Lawrence Wegwitz (Jennifer), Naomi Kaupp, Kelby Wegwitz (Cheri), Leisa Paxman, and Jeromy Wegwitz; 32 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and her siblings. She was predeceased by her parents; her children Samuel, Alice, and Aaron; and her grandson Quinn.
Kathy will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, and the care she showed to those around her. Those who knew Kathy will remember her for her compassion, her strength, and her willingness to put the needs of others before her own. She created a home where people felt welcome, loved, and accepted. Her legacy is found not only in the family she raised but also in the countless lives she touched through her example of love and service. Kathy was known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. Her home was always open to family, friends, and neighbors, and many were blessed by her quiet acts of service and encouragement.
Though her passing leaves a deep sense of loss, her family finds comfort in the memories she created, the lessons she taught, and the faith and values she passed on. They invite all who knew and loved her to join them and celebrate her life marked by faith, love, sacrifice, and devotion to family.

The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taylor Street Chapel, Raymond, Alberta on Monday, June 8th, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may meet the family from 10:00 - 10:45 am prior to the service.  Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, Alberta.
