WAYNE (DUANE) FORD WILEY, passed peacefully at the Cardston Hospital on April 8, 2019 at the age of 83.
Duane is survived by his four children, Lamont (Donna), Roxanne (Edwardo), Jason and Jeffrey (Nicole); eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Frank) Dewsbery, Kathy (Dwayne) Hawryluk; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Alvina Wiley and his second wife Georgie Goletz Wiley, parents Alma and Elmira Wiley, and six siblings.
Duane was born in Cardston, Alberta on December 4, 1935. He married and moved to Regina, Saskatchewan where he spent most of his life raising a family and working as a carpenter at the Regina General Hospital. He later moved to Texas then Louisiana. His hobbies included carpentry, gardening, needlepoint and genealogy. He returned to Canada in 2016 and settled into the Chinook Lodge in Cardston. During the past two years he has enjoyed rekindling with family members, making new friends, and taking some great road trips around the area. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may meet the family on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 1:00 to 1:45 pm, with a service to follow at Legacy Funeral Home (107-6th Street West) Cardston at 2 p.m., with President Rick Schow Officiating. Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetery.
