RITA MARIE JOAN WILSON,
August 5,1929-September 10, 2021
Rita was born in Oyen, AB to the late Alphie and Victoria Audibert. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas L Wilson her brothers Paul, Jack, and Albert, and sisters Loretta, Cecile, and Annette.
Rita is survived by her children Gerald Wilson, Brenda (Rich) Reed, Larry Wilson, Shirleyan (Ken) Rozniak, Wendy Wilson, and Carol Wilson. 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
At a young age, Rita moved with her family to Pincher Creek, AB. She began working in Waterton Lakes National Park which is where she met her husband Tom Wilson. They were married in 1949, moved to the Wilson family farm, and began a life together. Rita was a competitive curler, loved going to bonspiels with Tom and their many friends. Summer was full of gardening, camping, and family visits.
Her beautiful yard was her solace.
Rita passed away peacefully on the morning of September 10th at the Good Samaritan’s, Lee Crest in Cardston AB due to dementia complications.
Due to COVID restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
