Cynthia Ann Wolf Child, passed away peacefully at home on October 6, 2021 at the age of 47 years – with her family by her side.
Cynthia graced her presence on March 22, 1974 to loving parents Philip & the late Julianne Wolf Child and younger sister to Philip Jr. Cynthia was raised with strong family values which shown because she was very humble, kind and had a gentle disposition.
She devoted her time and energy as a loving mother to her children: Shanyce, Brooklin, Oceanna, Kendall Jo (Jojo) and adopted daughter Amber. Her charm and smile set enlightenment at any given moment. Her children can attest to the fact that she had “the patience of a saint” and never lost her temper or even raised her voice. Always supportive and encouraging, always wise and kind, she was very proud of her girls.
She met the love of her life, Kendall Across the Mountain and together they shared precious memories & family outings. Cynthia always expressed how fond she was of her Ken…….Her love and smile will forever remain in our hearts.
Her character was ever calm and serene in her spiritual upbringing, she took pride in helping her parents with ceremonies and approached life with passion and faith.
Cynthia graduated from F.P. Walshe High School. She continued her education and graduated from Mount Royal University – Red Crow Community College, with her Social Work Diploma.
With her passion to help people, she worked as a social worker at Blood Tribe Social Development/Enhanced Service Delivery. A Mentor with First Steps for Healthy babies, Kainai Children Services, and also Scotia Bank and CIBC.
Cynthia loved and lived every moment she was given. Always Graceful until God called her home. Her beauty will always be remembered by her father Phillip Sr, Brother Phillip Jr., adopted parents: Wilma and Dwayne Crow Chief,Mother In Law: Mary Ann Across The Mountain, adopted sister: Cheryl, Keisha (Calvin), Juanita (Randal) and Gwen Heavy Runner. Adopted Aunt; Kathy Cross Child. Nieces: Charmaine & Celsa (Colton), Kendall Many Shots; Nephews: Titus (Danielle), Conley, Jonathan, Tommy and Lyle (Nicole). Grandson: Elvis (Shanyce fur baby) and Andreas. Grand-daughter: Reagan. God children: Haily, Josiah, Lachelle and Mckayla. Special Friends: Bobbie Leigh Wells, Joyce Mountain Horse and Deanna Devine.
Furbabies: Birdie, Gizmo and Penelope.
She joins family that have gone before her. Her loving mother, Julianne. Sister’s: Debbie Red Crane, Rolanda Many Shots and Tracy Many Shots. Brother: Kelson Eagle Plume. Uncles: John Wolf Child, Jerry Wolf Child, and Frank, Claude and Sandy Eagle Plume. Aunties: Maud Black Face, Isabelle Knife, Maxine Knife and Rosabelle Knife. Niece/God daughter: Larissa Knife, Special Friend: Melaine Joy Morning Bird.
A wake service will be held on Sunday October 17, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Legacy Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Legacy Funeral Home with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Blood Reserve, Alberta
