IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Floyd Trudeau Brent Young Pine
May 17, 1968 — August 5, 2026


It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce the passing of Floyd Trudeau Brent Young Pine, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on August 5, 2026. Passing into the presence of God, he completed his earthly journey with grace, dignity, and unwavering faith.
Early Life & Upbringing
Trudeau was born on May 17, 1968, at the Blood Indian Hospital in Cardston to Stella Young Pine and Leo Russell. Raised in Moses Lake, he grew up with a deep respect for his roots, his family, and his community. He attended and proudly graduated from Cardston High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships.
From a young age, Trudeau had an energetic spirit and a love of sports, especially his Blue Jays. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing hockey, football, softball, and fastball in his early years.
Work & Dedicated Service
Known throughout his life as the ultimate 'go-to guy' and a skilled man of all trades, Trudeau was always ready to lend a hand and his expertise to anyone in need—asking no questions and offering unconditional support. Throughout his working years, he contributed his hard work and dedication to Tall Timber Gas, TransAlta Utilities, Lethbridge Basement, and Public Works, St. Paul's Healing Lodge Centre in Standoff.
A Pillar of Faith & Character
Trudeau was a true man of God, a pillar to his church, and a humble servant whose faith guided every step of his life. Baptized Catholic and later baptized Full Gospel, he walked faithfully in the Full Gospel fellowship for eight years. He took immense joy in Bible readings, prayer, and rejoicing in the Lord, eagerly sharing his faith and trust in God with everyone he encountered and leading always by example.
Gentle, kind, and extraordinarily generous, Trudeau truly lived out his moral values. It was not uncommon for him to literally give his jacket, his shoes, or the shirt off his back to a homeless person or someone in need. He carried a huge heart for elders, held immense love for children, and was a cherished uncle and person to all who knew him. With a heart of gold, he loved unconditionally and brought light into every space he entered.
Family & Devoted Relationships
Trudeau was a devoted son, father, brother (twin brother, Leon), grandfather, and uncle. Following the passing of his father, Trudeau selflessly stepped into his father’s shoes, dedicating himself fully to caring for our dear mother, Stella. He took Mom on cherished long drives to Pincher Creek, Fort Macleod, and Waterton, creating memories that will forever be held dear.
Trudeau shared a very unique and close bond with his “twin” brother, Leon. Best friends in every sense, the two spent countless joyful hours together and also attended a “brother” favorite pastime of attending farm auctions and garage sales together, often known as one of “the best times spent together”. Furthermore, he often worked alongside Leon in the feedlot industry in his younger years and had is own race horse “Blue Star Burst”.  Trudeau also shared a special bond with his baby sister Kerri. She was always by his side when she was younger, always going with him wherever he went. They spent their time watching WWE wrestling, sports highlights and attended show and shine yearly. He taught her all about cars, trucks and all about how to cook. He even showed her how to repair a tire, do oil changes and many other mechanical work. He never hesitated or was bothered to answer any questions, he taught her to be independent and strong. She is going to miss their long talks, sharing recipes with each other and telling crazy stories about the past, or cruising in his latest ride. Trudeau was always the best brother to her and anyone he got close to. Kerri will always remember the words he always told her “Stand for something or you’ll fall for anything.” He was and always will be her “Hero”.
As a father, Trudeau expressed deep and unwavering love for his only daughter, Shelby, whom he cherished and cared for deeply. He later became a proud grandpa to three special grandchildren: Bently (Big son), Sierra (Sissy), and Taezyn (Baby Son), whom he cherished and raised since they were babies. His grandchildren were the light of his life and always expressed the love he had for them; his heart truly belonged to his grandchildren. He also raised Demi Young Pine and Tyreese Weasel Head, with whom he shared a deeply close bond, and dearly cherished his adopted granddaughter, Brielle, alongside his adopted children, Kerzlyn, Tanika, Rataya, Kessiah and Krüe.
A talented cook, Trudeau delighted his family with wonderful meals and brightened every room with his vibrant personality. His favorite invite to his famous “Facebook” meal pictures was Patti, his Sister in Christ. He was famously known as the 'best two-stepper around,' lighting up every dance floor and life with his unforgettable smile. Even during his transport to dialysis, Trudeau’s humour and spirit shone through. Whenever paired with fellow clients on long rides back home, he never failed to share a joke or words of encouragement, cheerfully saying, “Gee, we survived another day. Tomorrow is a new one, and we’ll get through it.”
